How to Select Accredited Service Provider (ASP)
Selecting an Accredited Service Provider (ASP) is one of the most important compliance decisions your business will make under the UAE eInvoicing mandate.
With 33 FTA-approved ASPs in the market, no two are alike — they differ in technology ownership, ERP compatibility, pricing models, security certifications, and UAE market experience.
The UAE Ministry of Finance has published an official guide outlining six key dimensions every business should evaluate before appointing an ASP. Use this framework to ask the right questions, compare providers objectively, and make a confident, informed choice.
Dimension 1
Experience & Background
- How long has the ASP been providing eInvoicing services?
- How long have they been a Peppol Service Provider?
- How long has the company been operating in the UAE?
- When was the ASP accredited by the FTA?
Dimension 2
Geographical Reach
- Which countries does the ASP provide eInvoicing services in?
- Which Emirate is the company based in?
- Do they understand UAE-specific regulatory and business requirements?
Dimension 3
Product Ownership
- Is the eInvoicing system the ASP's own product or a third-party solution?
- Does the ASP provide direct support or sub-contract it?
- What value-added services are included — analytics, reporting, training?
Dimension 4
Integration & Data Management
- Can the ASP integrate with your ERP, accounting or invoicing system?
- Is invoice data stored within the UAE or overseas?
- What APIs and data formats are supported?
Dimension 5
Compliance, Security & SLAs
- What certifications does the ASP hold (ISO, GDPR, etc.)?
- What security measures protect sensitive financial data?
- Are uptime guarantees and SLAs clearly defined in the contract?
Dimension 6
Pricing & Scalability
- What is the pricing model — subscription, per-transaction, or hybrid?
- Are there hidden fees? Confirm 100 free invoices/year per MoF mandate.
- Can the system scale as your business grows? What is their product roadmap?
Key Reminder from the Ministry of Finance
As per MD No. 64 of 2025, your ASP must contractually guarantee 100 free electronic invoices per year. Always verify this is included in your agreement before signing.
